When you are just starting, the major challenge is getting new customers. If you have money to start with, it makes it a lot easier, because you can hire a marketing consultant to help you, or do it all for you.
But if you don't have the capital, the major challenge will only be "the comfort zone." This is because you will have to get out of the comfort zone to do what needs to be done to get your first customers.
Doing work for free - to get people to know what you can do.
Asking for referrals from everyone you know.
Cold calling - everyone's biggest obstacle (you don't have to - but it does work).
Networking at the local chamber of commerce, BNI, etc.
Doing Workshops - or public speaking.
Getting on the first page of google - costs money - which can be uncomfortable.
So if you have the drive, and are ready to do what it takes - the only other obstacle will be learning new things as fast as possible.
