Question

Which of the following atoms has the highest electronegativity?

Which of the following atoms has the highest electronegativity? Use the periodic table to answer this question.

A.C

B.N

C.O

D.F

Can you please also explain how you got the answer? :)

Answer

The answer is F which is Fluorine. While I'm not completely sure how to get the answer, typically, atoms with the higher electronegativities tend to be closer to the right of the periodic table or closer to the top. But fluorine is most definitely the atom with the highest electronegativity out of all atoms. If you want to take a look I will post a link.
