Whats the answer to this Math problem?

im normally really good at Math, but this confused me.,

5squared - 2 X 4 + (7 - -2) = 26

i said it was 101, who was actually right?, this got me really confused.,

oh, if youre a contact, then i havnt been on cuz of school, and friends.,

Remember Algebraic operation system--- PEMDAS

(parenthesis, exponents, multiplication/division, addition/subtraction)

So in order P = (7 - -2) = 9

Next in order E: 5^2 = 25

Next in order is M/D is 2 x 4 = 8

Now we have: 25 - 8 + 9 = 26

Yes the answer is 26.

You apply the BODMAS rule as follow:

5^2 - 2X4 + (7 - -2) =

25 - 8 + (9) =

26

it should equal 26. use P.E.M.D.A.S

1. solve what is in the parentheses (7 - -2)= 9 rewrite the question… 52 - 2 x 4 + 9

2. exponents 52 = 25 rewrite the question again 25 - 2 x 4 + 9

3 multiply / divide from left to right -2 x 4= -8 rewrite it again 25 - 8 + 9

4. add / subtract from left to right 25 - 8 + 9 = 26
