my vet gave me salix for my dogs congestive heart failure, can i give lasix (furosamide) for humans to her instead

Answer

Yes, but be *very* careful about the dosage. It's really easy to overdose a dog with the human med.

Dog dosage is different than human dosage. Don't give a dog or cat any medications not specifically prescribed by a veterinarian. You can kill the dog.
