Can a dog survive parvo without seeing a vet?

My dog doesn't have parvo i'm just curious how long a dog with parvo would last without any help from a vet.

It is of course possible, but not likely. This is because the virus that causes parvo damages the lining of the gastrointestinal tract causing profuse vomiting and bloody diarrhea thus leading to severe dehydration and death. Giving oral meds, food and water will typically cause continued vomiting which leads to further dehydration. To prevent this, veterinarians maintain hydration and energy providing nutrients through an intravenous route along with medicating to prevent further vomiting.

So while it does occasionally happen that a puppy survives parvo without medical treatment, the chances are slim.

Parvo is deadly. It can kill in a day.

Not likely. Even with treatment survival is not a given.

my puppy died a day after we went to the vet and he gave him a shot for parvo and fluids but he said it was too late...:(

If you don't care about the dog ...he MIGHT survive...but then how would YOU sleep at night knowing the suffering the dog went thru?
