Question

When should we disregard explanations that are intuitively appealing?

I have to write about this but I just need some ideas to get me started :) Thanks.

A distinction can be drawn between tactless intuition and skillful intuition. No argument should rely on intuition alone when that may be like a belief in magic or something.

A distinction can be drawn between "leaning on something" and "corroborating points of view which once seemed independent"

I hope that helps.
