Question

Will Jesus ever really return? After all, it's been over 2,000 years now! Where is the proof He ever will?

Actually, the Bible says those will be the sort of questions people will be asking, just before Jesus **does** return.

The real question is this: 2,000 years have been given so far to see if ANY other religion could produce a resurrected Savior, have they? None, not one! 2,000 years and not one other religion has been able to produce a resurrected teacher, leader or prophet. What's taking them so long? Do they still need more time? Jesus alone is proven to be fully the Son of God in nature and substance by raising Himself from the dead (John Chapter 2 verses 19-21 and Chapter 10 verses 17-18). Only God can raise the dead. Hundreds of eyewitnesses saw Him alive after His execution – it was Jesus, not a substitute.

Most important of all for you, would you be ready, if He returned suddenly, like right now? He warned that most people will not be found watching and waiting for His return, distracted by the cares, riches and pleasures of this life and will be left behind. Being ready for the Day of His Appearing begins with confessing your sins to Him, asking His forgiveness and turning from them; then trusting that Jesus' death on the cross paid the price demanded by the Father in Heaven for your sins. If not, you will stand before Jesus one day, not as your Savior, but as your Judge.

Here are the Bible verses, John 2:19-21; John 10:17-18; Luke 17:26-30; Luke 21:36; 2 Peter 3:10; 1 Thessalonians 5:2; 1 Timothy 4:1; 2 Peter 3:3; Matthew 24:42; Hebrews 9:28

Answers

I am staying ready as we are all to do.

My wicks are trimmed and no matter when Jesus returns I am not going to complain but await our Savior with joy

Speaking of "being ready", are you- really? You seem well schooled, so I'll throw some revelation out there which we have received the last few years. Start with Hosea 4:6, then, go to 1 Kings 3:9, after that, Proverb 1:7; 9:10; 8:13; and Psalm 34:11-22;, and see where The Holy Spirit takes ya, then read John 6:37-40;. Now, go to Revelation 2, and then to a search on what Yeshua hated. After that, then tell us if your REALLY ready for Yeshua's return. Personally, I'm hoping He holds off a bit, I'm not quite there- - yet. Still searching for more truth, like His name is Yeshua, the 1611 King Jim does NOT have the name Jesus in it-anywhere! Isaiah 14:12, the adversary is defeated, but he is still "roaming".

In regards to your question, scripture, The Bible, is the ONLY prophetic book ever written with a 100% track record, that's close enough for me. What hasn't happened yet- well- it's on the way, it just hasn't happened- - - yet.

Great question. Tomorrow would be good enough for me. Who is ready? I know that I have accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I'm not perfect but I'm ready.

You know why? Resurrection does not happen outside of fairy tales

The only thing sillier than believing he might return is considering the bible as a valid piece of historical evidence

knowing that the bible has a single verse which says Jesus came in the "meridian" of Time, one might think and conclude that if it took 3000 years for jesus to be born, it might take a full 3000 years after he was resurrected to make His 2nd coming.
