Help with some math problems. Well only 1. OCA?

Hello, i go to OCA and my teacher is not doing the best job helping me. This is the question.

The points L(4, 0),M(10, 0), and N(7, 5) form #LMN.What is the sum of the

slopes of the three sides of the triangle?

this is what i have 5/3 + 5/3 + 0 = 10/6 but thats not right, so can you explain how to do this, and give me a correct answer, you can have 10 points, also if you have done this can you give me the answer to the other two questons. for question 2 and 3 my answers are, x= 6+2x, need to solve but don't know how, and q= (5,3), s=(1,5), perimeter = 8.

The slope from L to M is obviously 0.

From L to N it is 5/3.

From N to M (Because we read from left to right) it is -5/3

When adding 5/3, 0 and -5/3. The answer is 0.

Remember to read from left to right.

x=6+2x

You can subtract 2x from both sides.

You'll get:

-x=6

Then multiply both sides by -1

x=-6

And I don't know what your third question is.

5/3 + 5/3 (+0)= 10/3 not 10/6

slope = rise/run = change in y / change in x = (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1)

so, slope of LM

(0 - 0)/(10 - 4) = 0

slope of MN

(5 - 0) / (7 - 10) = 5/(-3) = -5/3

slope of NL

(5 - 0) / (7 - 4) = 5/3

add them together and you end up with

0 - 5/3 + 5/3 = 0

which makes since that all the slopes added together = 0 since they form a triangle.
