Question

Why is it that I am not the same after a diagnosis?

I was recently diagnosed with 22q11 deletion along with autism and now that I found out that I was diagnosed with something I feel like that I can't do things now because I think that I am on the severe scale of the spectrum and was wondering how do I cope with something that I was diagnosed with? I can't think of a way to cope with It. I also think now that I am diagnosed with something I can not do anything right now.

Answers

Please don't feel hopeless. Thousands have been recovered from autism, including my children. Most don't pay attention to gene problems, and just focus on pathogens and toxins. Gene issues may make you more likely to have symptoms, but usually it's not absolute and treatments can reverse symptoms. Have your parents help you with finding a good doctor that knows all this.
