Is this a good dinner to make my family? 10points?

Its my dads birthday and he got back from the hospital afew days ago sergary and I want to make him happy with his favorite dinner. What do you thinka nd id if possible help me make it better here's what I got:

Homemade italian Raviolis with extra cheese filling, nice homemade italian pasta sauce, olive oil, spinich, chopped garlic, fresh basil leaves, chopped tomatos, sprinckled with real italian parmesen cheese, and a side of garlic bread, (french bread with butter, chopped garlic, garlic salt/powder, oregano, onion powder/salt, parmesen cheese, and marina dip, heavy on the garlic. What do you think? Thannkss

I think it sounds pretty amazing..haha:) i think that sounds delicious:) maybe add dessert but otherwise it sounds perfect to me:)

PolarBea, let me see if I got this right, I am okay with the ravioli so far, but the pasta sauce, where you adding spinach in it? I don't think so. Look when you come to do your pasta sauce, I saute onions finely chopped, flat leaf parsley, basil finely chopped ( I have my own herbs) but you can use dry. then I add finely chopped garlic two cloves. make sure that the garlic doesn't burn. I open a tin of peeled whole tomatoes, I crush by hand or use the food processor, adding 1/2 a teaspoon of salt, freshly ground black pepper, and oregano, and just a pinch of sugar for the acidity. Add that to the pot, and the equivalent of the can with water. Bring to the boil, for ten minutes, reduce heat to medium high, for another 15 minutes then reduce to simmer, stirring occasionally, until all the liquid has reduced and the sauce has thickened. Taste for seasoning, add if needed to your taste.

Lets look at your garlic bread, I cut the baguette horizontally, smear it with garlic butter that I make, sprinkle with parmesan cheese, wrap in foil and into the oven, I do not use garlic powder when I am using fresh garlic on the garlic bread, and no with the garlic salt. Have no idea on your marina dip what that is.

It is totally perfect, I think u should add a side of Asparagus w/ that. :-)

Your Dad is a very lucky man, and you are an extremely thoughtful youngster.

Wish there were more about like you !

Well done, Tony.

I know for a fact that it will all gojust perfect.

Wow that sounds amazing, you will knock his socks off and he will be so happy! I think you are so sweet to do that. I don't know how you could improve on that at all :). Just make sure the food isn't too rich for him after his surgery.

Sounds mighty Italian there Polar Bear! What was he in the hospital for? Is it all right if he has a meal like this?

Other than that, an arugula salad with grape tomatoes, dressed in lemon juice, EV olive oil, and some parmesan cheese, some good bread, red wine if he can have it, and for dessert, just some nice fresh summer fruits -- plums, nectarines, peaches, apricots, washed and glistening on a plate.
